“Water Drums, an ancestral encounter” is a documentary that shows the influence of the African roots in the Venezuelan musical manifestations. The history of the Venezuelan Afrodescendents from his arrival to Venezuela unfolds when its protagonist obtains the water drums, a very peculiar musical practice and of great beauty. The water drum will become the vehicle of our history allowing the encounter of two continents (Africa and America) in the aquatic sonar of its beats. Emphasizing that no matter the distance when the roots are strong to last through time.
